The history of coinage stressing manufacturing and striking techniques. Several hundred coins from 2000BC Mesopotamia to a 1910 Barber Half are meticulously described and illustrated 1x and 5x with spectacular photography..
{Note} While published by Spink & Abrams, the stock was held by the author in South Africa who shipped cartons to Europe as needed but without adequate packing. Copies with crisp dust jackets are infrequently encountered.
