The set only has some usual foxing/ yellowing on the first 4 pages (2 blank pages + title page see photo) of Gerard van Loon: Beschryving der Nederlandsche historipenningen volume II. All other pages and plates are in excellent condition! Some small scratches and rubbed spots on covers, corners slightly worn, tight bindings. This set belonged to Isaac Meulman (1807-1868), an extremely rich sugar trader of Amsterdam.
Famous among scientists for his extensive collection of pamphlets and library. The books from his Library are searched for by Museums and Universities all over the World.
All 10 Volumes contain an ex-libris from Isaac Meulman with the text "Grypt als t rypt" what means "take it when it is riping".
