Synopsis:
This is the first fully illustrated catalogue of a major collection of late Roman and early Byzantine imperial coins. It follows the general layout of the Byzantine volumes in the Dumbarton Oaks series, with a substantial introduction dealing with the history of the coinage, including iconography, mints, and the monetary system.
About the Author:
Philip Grierson (1910 2006) was Professor of Numismatics, University of Cambridge and Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge and formerly Professor of Numismatics and History of Coinage at the University of Brussels. He was Honorary Keeper of Coins at the Fitzwilliam Museum, to which he bequeathed his unrivalled collection of medieval European coins.

Europe only: If its cheaper, we ship with DPD parcels (A 10 kg parcel often costs a few Euros more as a 2 kg parcel by PostNL, the standard shipping company) you will get a refund if you paid to much postage!
