A reconstruction of the European portion of the famous Pozzi collection before it was broken up and sold through Ars Classica and other sales. It includes many coins (1296!!) NOT in the auction, especially bronze. 

The Pozzi's collection  was one of the most beautiful and complete collections of Greek coins in the world.

"The suite of ancient Greek coins for which we now present the catalogue is derived entirely

from the collection which the late Professor S. Pozzi formed during the last 25 years of his

career, so nobly fulfilled and so tragically terminated. Few public collections can show an

equivalent accumulation of rarities of the first order. If we exclude the superb series of Monsieur R. Jameson, without equal in its number of exceptional items, the Pozzi collection stands at the present time as containing more important pieces than any other private collection. The catalogue has been drafted with the greatest care, and references have been given to Head, Babelon and the British Museum catalogues, as well as to more recent specialised works. Each coin has been weighed with minute accuracy in the hope that the catalogue may make a meaningful contribution to metrological research, and in this spirit we have avoided giving denominations and systems such as tetradrachm, obol, aeginetic, attic, milesian etc., as being in many cases of doubtful value."
