Brand (Virgil M.) collection Part 1 - Roman and European Coins. Sotheby's 1982-07

This catalog is the first part in a series of auctions organized in the early 80-ies of 20TH century by Sotheby's, on the sale of coins from the collection of the outstanding collector Virgil Brand. The first part, which opened a series of auctions, comprised mainly of curiosities from around the world, including Russian collection of rare gold coins  from the former collection of Tolstoy, ruble Trial 180 (6), the remake of the ruble in 1810 trial of Lalin, Novodelny ruble in 1827 with a portrait of Nicholas I, of Reichel, Reyhelevskuyu half a ruble in 1845, a gold medal in 1859 in the construction of a monument to Nicholas I. In excellent condition. Very rare. There are also 20 Rare Polish coins.

Deze catalogus is het eerste deel in een reeks van veilingen georganiseerd in de vroege jaren 80-er jaren van de twintigste eeuw door Sotheby's, De verkoop van munten uit de collectie van de grote verzamelaar Virgil Brand. Het eerste deel,  dat voornamelijk bestaat curiosa uit de hele wereld, met inbegrip van Russische opent: verzameling van zeldzame gouden munten uit de voormalige collectie van Tolstoj, roebel Trial 180 (6), de remake van de roebel in 1810 proef van Lalin, Novodelny roebel in 1827 met een portret van Nicolaas I, van Reichel, Reyhelevskuyu een halve roebel in 1845, een gouden medaille in 1859 van de bouw van een monument voor Nicolaas I.

 Данный каталог представляет первую часть из серии аукционов, организованных в начале 80-х годов XX века фирмой Sotheby's, по распродаже монет из коллекции выдающегося нумизмата Вирджила Бранда. Первая часть, открывающая серию торгов, включала в себя преимущественно раритеты разных стран мира, том числе русские: подборку редких золотых монет номиналом 3 рубля - 20 злотых, бывших в коллекции Толстого, Пробный рубль 180(6) года, Новодел пробного рубля 1810 года работы Лялина, Новодельный рубль 1827 года с портретом Николая I, работы Рейхеля, Рейхелевскую полтину 1845 года, золотую медаль 1859 года на сооружения памятника Николаю I.              В отличном состоянии. Очень редкий.
